Ministry Aspect #3: Community of Believers
The third aspect for Leavener is to gather a community of believers that want to invest in one another because of what God has done in them and through them. This is started as a huge white canvas with room for lots of mistakes. People indicated there is a desire for gathering that isn't so structured but centers on teaching people their identity and freedom in Jesus.
The white canvas allows for creativity and spontaneity. You just never know what the Lord might do.
Two families contacted my family and invited us to meet with them on Sunday Mornings. At the time, my family was church hopping as we sought what God's desire was for our family. We committed to going to their house and they asked me to teach. We showed up on that first Sunday (October 7, 2007) at Charlie & Vicky Ward's House in Westfield. There was a surprising amount of people there.
As of 04/27/2008, the Leavener Community relocated to Pinheads Entertainment Center in Fishers (13825 Britton Park, Fishers, IN 46038). This relocation was due to the fact we needed more space and God provided this place for us. Our desire is to keep the same content and format that we experienced while meeting in a home. We begin gathering at 9:30 AM, share a message at 10 AM and leave when we are done. Child care is provided for those who desire it but we encourage our grade school children to gather with the teenagers and adults. All are welcome... consider this your invitation... you are more than welcome to hang out with us on Sundays!

May I ask from this last entry if this is going to be a church? We are looking for a "New Testament" body of believers to join with and worship. You speak of a community of believers, so will you be leading this community in worship? This would truly be an answer to prayer.
